A few moving parts here !
Live in Dorset. Drive about 200 miles per week, A roads. Currently own 2003 Range Rover 4.4 vogue. Paid 13k last April. 60k on clock. Few warning notes came up on dashborad this weekend (eg Engine Failsafe Mode !!) but cleared themselves...avergae MPG says 21 on screen. 1 x 20 month old daughter.
Should I switch into Disco series 3 diesel ? Assuming about 10k cash pay up to switch I reckon (back of fag packet) my breakeven is about 10 years simply in terms of saving cash in fuel...assuming Disco does 34mpg
I've had so many RRs and Discos I know how much they cost EVERY time something goes wrong so I decided not to factpr that in !! A "known unknown" !
Anyone done the trade ? I love the RR but Mrs B now refusing to spend £104 to fill it up....
