Last time you used a bricks and mortar car insurance broker?
Discussion
It must have been 10 years for me.. and what a refreshing change..
Had to do the insurance on the 500 for the missus. Have been getting a bit angry with all these internet/phone based places over the last couple of years, it's like flying Ryanair - stripped to the bone and charge you extra for everything.
Did the usual comparisons and it seems all the competitive places were selling the same policy from AXA. In-between the internet brokers listed I noticed Swinton. I then popped over to their website (without tracking cookie
) and did the quote again. Bosh, quote wasn't the super cheapest, but I wont argue over £10 a year.
This morning at 9:30 I had a call from the local branch office to me welcoming us to Swinton. I took down the proof of no-claims to the High Street office and walked out with all my documentation. It's so reassuring to know I can just go to an office and speak to someone face-to-face.
I'll NEVER get another policy that's internet/phone only.
