Hey,
Just a quick one really. I am having to replace all discs, pads and sensors on my BMW 320TD ('04 plate).
Using BMW parts all round I hve been quoted (are you ready for this?..) £650. This includes the price of an MOT. Using non BMW parts will cost just under £500. Obviously I'd rather use BM parts as cheap parts are not really cost effective.
Has anyone had any similar work done recently and can you tell me whether I am getting screwed or whether this is the norm!
Thanks in advance!!

New discs and pads (BM parts) with sensors cost just over 500quid for the front only on my 550Msport and that was at my 50quid per hour indy. The discs alone on my car were 135 each. I would say its probably not far off depending on what their labour rate is but someone with a more dimilar car will probbaly be along shortlysmile

It's an easy DIY job for any half competent mechanic and if you get the parts from GSF, Eurocarparts etc will not pay half that.

Alternatively, take it to any local garage if you're not very well endowed, mechanically speaking.

From memory, if your BMW dealer reckons you need discs/pads changing, there's probably 6 months life left anyway.

Did my discs and pads all round on my 330i m sport last month and it cost £300 from Euro car parts and took me about 2-3 hours to do. Didn't use cheap stuff either.
