It would be real nice if these cars were up in the super car bracket, but I think they never will be, even if it is a SEAC.
It is very tidy and been looked after, but not enough miles in 20years of sitting around.

I know his comment about "winning a concourse" is probably only meant to describe how good it is, but with pedant head on, it wouldn't.
A proper concourse show is as was, not modded in any way and obviously this has been.
Maybe I am just jealous yes

I wish I had a pound for every time someone used "concourse" (or "concorse" in this case) instead of "concours". I just hope the standard of maintenance is better than the English. If you're going to the trouble of taking lots of pictures and advertising a car, is it really that difficult to spell check it? It's bad enough for a private seller, but smacks of unprofessionalism for a business.

Very very tidy....but a concours winner.....hmmmmmm, have seen the efforts and quality of the winners at BBWF and would rate them higher.

"Would win concorse at any show in the country!"

Shame the seller missed the top show of the year then, BBWF. It could have been trailered over, only 120 miles, what better than to win first place with Martin Lilley as the judge!!!

And think of all the wedge owners drooling over it - Wyn woulda bought it on the spot!

What are you up against at that money...

Really good Cerb, the very very best Griffs, even a Tuscan, Porsche 928GTS, Lotus Esprit V8s, Turbos, possibly a decent fake snake with a SBC...

Hate to pour scorn on a fellow wedge, but he's catering for a nutter wedge fanatic there. You gotta REALLY want a 14.5k mile red 420SEAC to spend that much...

Also, 1986 SEAC?!? Late style dash...1986?!?!?

Door cards look correct as does the dash, seats however don't look right. Don't like the cheapy over braid stuff either and I would have changed the air filter as well. Looks like GSX has been busy with his polishing machine also (nice shiney). I expect the chassis to be nice condition also.

It probably did it more harm not being used over the years though with oil seals etc hardening.

Mine is gonna end up better......

Looks to be a nice clean car, not a lot of miles on it, what problems could there be with oil seals dry out and dry joints in the electrics.
The dash is correct for the car, same as mine and the door cards are the same too, i think the seats could have been an upgrade from the factory as there was quite a few options and look like the have been sat in a lot, lots of creases in them

Im with Mike not into the engine dress up braded stuff, looks a little on the tacky side, still its a lot of cash for a SEAC.

Strange that, I nearly always use spell check. Concorse was checked to spell concourse. Oh what a dilemma, which one to use!!
Maybe my spell check is set to 'upset mode'.

While we are being picky, look at the dirt under the expansion bottle, certainly not concors/concours/concourse there.

I'm kind of with Topton and Ed regarding comments on the pricing and what else there is out there but you've also got to add in rarity and the importance of a particular model. You're in the realm of a collector rather than a driver and I imagine most of us round here are drivers.

Sure you could buy a V8 Esprit for that price but then so could your next door neighbour next day.

I imagine it is the lowest mileage SEAC around and as original as any - condition wise there may be others as good though but I guess you'd be paying 17k odd ?

What I find strange is the lack of a price difference between the good and indifferent wedges and TVR's in general, seems to me the value of say a 400SE with a new 4.6 and everything else pukka would be 7ish, yet a basket case needing 10k spent to get it to that stage would go for 5 anyway.

It is usual to offer something for sale at a price that someone might pay. Whether it is worth it or not IMO is irrelevant.
