Bout time I put some pics up of the current motor. I have had it a year now and not posted up any. It may not be the fastest hot hatch out there but its bloody good fun, supercharger whine is like a drug smile and it sticks to the road like glue, looked into getting an R56 but I just love the feel of this R53.

very nice mate -my sister has one - dark blue glass roof, satnav, ipod cable etc -really nice looking BUT

I think it feels really slow -when u put the boot down, do you get a decent bit of torque ?-there is nothing on this

That's the problem (IMHO) — they're predominantly driven by girls. I looked at getting one as a nippy runaround last year, and drove an S which was pretty decent, but I just couldn't handle the image.

Daft eh?

Plus, by business partner is a Classic Mini nut and he'd probably kill me!

Ive got the same colour, but the JCW upgrade, which makes a huge difference.

It probably depends on what you've been driving and what gear you're in. First and second are more traction limited than anything else, as it's a torquey little motor, but I find it fantastically responsive in third and fourth. My favourite thing is twisty uphill sections, as the car just hauls through them.

Unless you've done it already, put a 15/17% pulley on it.

Now.

Nah they aren't for girls, Coopers and One's maybe but not the Cooper S, thats what I told myself anyway!

Yours looks great in that colour, I had a grey one with black roof and I still think it was a fantastic looking car. I agree about the noise they make, it is so addictive. As above get a 17% reduced pulley on there and JCW air filter, I went for the motorsport version which has no flap and it will sound even better.

We all have different tastes, I can handle the image smile, its always nice wiping the floor with chavs in saxos etc and the like, annoys them even more, but come on its no Ford Ka, haha!

7 seconds to 60, not slow IMO. I understand in some points it may feel slowish, but with a supercharger there is no lag, so its all good smile

Cheers mate, hopefully going to get her some goodies soon, was looking at Milltek cat back, and reduced pulley. smile
