Apologies if this is a repost, but.....

1 - James May's Fezza had two different number plates. When they had the rear shots, it was one plate and they showed a very brief front shot of it when they lined up for the drag race with the 458 and it was a different plate.

2 - The 'Gambon' corner on the track and the lump of grass on the camera side of the start/finish line have been cemented from the looks of it. It was probably for when the Bugatti went round a couple of weeks ago, if I was the owner, I'd ask them to do that anyway!!

I now feel incredibly sad and boring for noticing these things!!!

Clarkson also said that in the new fezza you could have the sat nav but not know how fast you were going where as the speed is shown on the left hand side screen constantly.

Looks like I'm just as sad!

I also find the 458 Italia unbelievably ugly, and know of at least one other person sharing that opinion.

Most amused by the speedo comment, top observation!

TopGear looks totally staged and scripted.

I bet when they are driving, like when clarkson was driving the ferrari all the shots of the smoking powerslides and donughts are stunt men, he jumps in the car does a few laps says a few words and the rest is done by others.

Still like it and try and get wrapped up in it but it is nowhere near what is was when they first started.

I would be surprised if they really drove the old british sports cars as far as they claim to, just jump in do a few shots and let some runners do the rest.

Just after the drag race he screams "I have no idea how fast I'm going!"

Cut to me screaming at the telly "133mph you idiot!"

I feel like such a geek.

Surely by now, with 20 years motoring journalism under his belt, Clarkson would be as good as any 'stunt' driver anyway? I don't doubt that it is Clarkson and co. doing the driving, but the tyre marks on the track are a good enough tell tale that they do a fair few runs to get the 5 mins of footage we see.

I wasnt questioning his driving ability, Ive seen lots of footage of him thrashing cars around, just something tells me the whole things is not as genuine as they have us believe.

No way! I feel cheated now. I actually thought that a single trip through a car wash filled that XR3 up to the brim.

Im sure that has been cement for the entire series although it seemed to make no difference for Tom Cruise.

You're kidding right? So a big budget entertainment show shown on prime-time TV looks staged and scripted... Well, I'll be...
