Moving on from my £500 watch thread I now really fancy a Raymond Weil Tango! Anyone got one of these that can let me know what it is like?

Any other suggestions to a similar looking watch for less than £750?

One last question, any one ever bought from 'swiss watches direct'?

Cheers.

The problem is that prices vary wildly. I think Austin Kaye had a half price sale. I don't know what that tells you about the brand.

The site has a PO Box address in Hailsham.

Something not right about it so I steered clear of it a few months ago when I was looking for a 45mm PO Omega. I could be wrong but for 2 grand I wasn't going to find out the hard way.

A Quartz will mean it runs from a battery, so will keep time pretty accurately.
An Automatic movement will "wind up" automatically as you move.
A manual wind needs winding by hand.

A Raymond Weil is a nice watch, I have a tango myself that I have had for several years. They are over priced for what you get in my eyes as it is a fashion based watch. It is very good quality as well.

If you like it and can afford it you should be looking at this.

A watch is an emotive thing, especially if you have just one or two watches.
