yep Although I generally can't go too mad up there as I work at the bottom of the hill and am still warming the engine up by the time I get to the hill.... so <3k rpm up there for me....

I prefer the old road - heading to the village of Birdlip itself....it's got some nice bends near the top! Coming down is quite interesting too!

Its a 60 limit up the hill, but I think the new signs are only reminding people of the fact... its normal single carriageway once you get onto the hill itself, and so 60 is the limit, and always has been. Many people coming up there assume it is still 70 from the dual carriageway at the bottom, and continue up the hill at 70.

not wishing to be pedantic but... the old road is Birdlip hill, the A road to the air balloon pub is Crickley hill. I was confused for a while there

I use Birdlip hill a lot, but almost never crickley hill, and haven't seen a tvr in the area for ages!

Cheers

Good point.... someone (at work) pointed the difference in the namesAs for tivs..... I can normally be seen 2 or 3 days a week, sometime between 8 and 8.45 and again at around 17:20-18:00 on one of the two hills in the Chim..... the other days I'm in the tintop, as MrsHobbit likes her turn in the Chim..... but if you recognise my dark blue omega estate and you're in yer tiv, I'll normally be debating at you....
