I will be there with one of my regular customers and his Porsche GT3R-S2 (2002, ex- ALMS/Monza 1000K GT racer).

I am booked up in a green Westfield Megabusa. I have only done Oulton once before, over a year and a half ago and have never done the banked chicane so should be good to do the full circuit.

We'll be there in our 306 Gti-6 - you'll know which one because it has a reshaped drivers side from a previous off road excursion at cadwell. First time at Oulton tho so any advice is much appreciated!!!!

Well we had a good day with the the GT3R yesterday, until it started tripping the noise meter about 3pm having been fine all day up 'til then.

well spent Monday and Tuesday looking at the weather forecast and wondering if it was worth the long haul down to oulton park from Scotland ?? what a fantastic day well worth the trip with some first class cars on track. That is my first track day with Circuit days and what a day . There was only a few red flags and only heard the odd comment about poor driving and to be honest i never seen any. This was also my first time at oulton and found my car lacking in the top speed department but never the less loved it and will be back . We also stayed a couple of nights at the New Farm B&B again this is first class with very secure parking good food and its spotless, even better its only about 2 miles from the track.

Only one gripe on the day??? there was a stoppage for an oil spill at the hairpin the oil flag was only out after you went through the hairpin and not before but in saying that it was stopped quick enough and the marshalls were first class all day with good use of the blue Flags i wish those guys would do knockhill. Oh and how come the black ferrari never had to que like the rest of us to get on track did he pay more ???? Who cares cant wait to get back.

Haha, maybe he did. It was flying though. Another owner who must have paid more was the old red ferrari. It was holding cars up all day, never moving over and the marshalls didn't blue flag it once. I followed it for 4 laps in a queue of faster cars all waiting to get past and it didn't move over so i pulled in. It was not blue flagged once, I reported the car to the marshall in the pits and then spectated later in the day to see exactly the same thing happening, it holding the same cars up for the couple of laps and no blue flag from the nearest marshal.

Yes, it was a good day, worth the long drive there and back. The 430 scuds were mighty quick.

the black Ferrari was quite a beast....I was getting a blue flag even when there were no cars behind me....then all of a sudden the black thing would be there....! It was a bit distracting to be honest and it wasn't a level playing field for all cars. The marshalls were quite happy blue flagging to let the fastest cars through but didn't bat an eyelid when "lesser" cars were being held up. Apart from getting used to that, the rest of the day was excellent.
