Ford Viscous Fan Removal

I have a partly stripped 24v Cossy motor - I wish to remove all the ancilliaries including the viscous fan, however all of the drive belts have been previously removed. How do ¬I go about removing the fan? I am fitting electric fans to the rad.

You get the special spanner and lock the pulley somehow. Rope twisted round it with a wooden stick perhaps or put a fanbelt back on again.
