I've picked up a set of alloys that I wish ti fit on the SLK. There are no scuffs or kerb marks however the centres on two are a little tarnished with the laquer turning yellow therefore, befor fitting them I thought I would have them sprayed.

What's the best colour to spray them to get a near to shiny chrome look? Is there standard paint colours for alloys?

Hi

There are some standard finishes. This site shows a few with pictures. There is a Mercedes Silver and also various Chrome finishes.

Hi,

I think your interior leather is a different colour, but believe our cars our dead similar smile
I love the smoked look, so do you mind saying where you had it done?

Thanks

Mine has the light grey/dark grey combo although the driver's seat will get a recolour when I get time/money to do it as it has gone yellow.

Love the car and plan for it to be a long-term addition to the household ... if I keep it long enough it should enter classic territory. It's certainly rare judging by how few you see on the UK roads!

I had them refurbished via my local MB dealer, MB of Lincoln, as I didn't have the time or equipment available to get all four wheels of at once! We've used them for years now and they've always provided us with excellent service on the CL and GL! They sent them to Pristine Alloys in Milton Keynes. I think this is their website - http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/.
