How many other PHers have the post lunch time dip feeling? You know the one, that feeling you get when your trying your hardest to stay awake.

Yep.

Thought it was just me though hehe

I usually have an energy drink in the morning though so that usually gets you past lunch.

I'm dipping.

I thought it was to do with increased bloodflow to your digestive tract to process lunch. Hence the lethargy.

Digestion uses a fair bit of energy (about 10% of the calories you eat IIRC). Eat things that are easy to digest, like baby food.

I thought this thread was about nailing the team secretary after lunch.

OP: try having a lunch without bread/wheat-based carbs. I bet you notice the difference straight away!

To do with sleep cycles innit? About 2pm harmonises with the deeper part of your sleep cycle, were you asleep.

Or something like that. Im not really sure.

Another valuable contribution then...

This. Yesterday I had a jacket potatoe with beans an cottage cheese, and felt like falling asleep within 30 minutes.

Today I had brown rice with roast turkey and veg, and I can almost jog up the stairs.

Just because you can jog up and down stairs it doesn't mean that your notebook will come quicker. You may as well have a nap now mate.

Are you suggesting we eat Activia or Yakult or some such processed goat semen? You'll be telling us it cures the acute medical marketing emergency of 'bloatedness' next.

Men eat meat filled sandwiches.

You... you, girl
