Hi All
I'm thinking of getting my S2 chassis rebuilt at Dulford Automotive as I believe they've got the original TVR factory chassis jigs and can sort out shotblasting and and powder coating also if required.
The chassis isn't that bad, It's likely to need outriggers, body mounts and seatbelt mounts.
Has anyone used them and would they recommend them? I understand that some may not wish to post their experiences, in which case please could you PM me?
Talking to most people the feedback seems pretty good, I'm just looking for some reassurance before I take the plunge.
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Mine's there at the moment. I've still to see it in the flesh so will reserve full judgement until later but it looks great from the pictures. Great bunch to deal with but it's taken way longer than I expected. Fortunately I've not been in a rush and to be fair I haven't been chasing due to other commitments so was happy for them to fit it around other work.
Happy to report back once I've seen it. Hopefully it should be in the next week or so - now I can't wait !

I'd be interested to see what its like too. I spoke with them a week ago and they said they had an S chassis they were busy on, now I know who's it is!
I may arrange to pay them a visit at some point next week, if I get there before you've picked it up perhaps I could let you know how good it is...Do you know when you're picking it up?

Saw an S at Dulford with body off they had been rebuilding the chassis very badly corroded it seemed that they were doing a fantastic job. I think it was techbotics car

As mentioned I had my TVR chassis restored by Dulford a year or so ago now.. Mine was very very bad and required the use of the original jigs to ensure the rear suspension was properly aligned. While there the body was removed, chassis stripped, repaired and powder coated, Gaz Gold Pro's, polybushes, new fuel and brake lines, fuel tank hanger, trailing arms, Granada Cosworth front brake upgrade etc etc.. there are some photos on my soon to be TVR website so you can see some of the work. I hope to send her back there this winter for Roll Cage and Rear Disk Brakes.
I do need to get more pictures uploaded though.. this is my everyday car and I have no problems what so ever with any of the work done at Dulford and found Richard and Neil very easy to deal with and knowledgeable.

Some really good pictures there, looks like they did a spot on job. Fortunately my chassis is nowhere near as bad as yours was - I hope!
Having now spoken to numerous people I've taken the plunge and got it booked in at Dulford. I'll be taking the bare chassis down next week. In the mean time I'll have plenty to do stripping my S3C spares car and getting other bits and pieces sorted out ready for my nice shiney chassis....

As said good pics there.
I think the problem with outriggers is that once they are holed at the front upper corners water gets inside and can't get out - no amount of external waxoyling will solve that - as they rot from the inside out.
I have even had thoughts that it might be more beneficial to actually drill holes in the bottom of them and try to get some waxoyl inside the tubes.

I finally got the chance to go down to Dulford and see my chassis. What a cracking job they've done. It looks absolutely brand new. Unfortunately I now have a bunch of work to do on the body before it's worthy of being put back on this chassis ! Maybe I'll just bolt in some seats and drive around in the bare chassis
