Pondering on selling the RS and noticed a very nice black gallardo for sale in my price range. Now, what puts me off is the running costs. How will they compare to the GT3 RS which in all fairness isn't costing me an arm and a leg.

are you mad....selling a GT3 to buy a lambo.....stick with the GT3 and buy the lambo ;-) ......lambo's are fantastic but very very different to a 911.....i feel you have to be a little more cautious with them....where the GT3 you can nail its fat arse ( if its a 997 )and it simply wont let you down..just take service costs into consideration cause it will work out a lot more than a GT3....but if its your dream just do it.....

Buy it. Everytime you start the engine you will feel like a champion...

Running costs vs. a 911 wont be huge, but the road presence and wow factor will be...

Annual running costs depending on how much you drive it but in short:
c.£900 for a minor service, £1800 for a major service (major is every other year).
c.£500 for a pair of wheels.
c.£500-2500 for random sh*te (throttle valves, lifting system fails, air con, clutch, etc)

Dont agree with that statement

I've owned Gallardo, Gallardo Spyder, Superleggera, 560 Spyder and LP670 and all of these cars have been very usable

just my opinion of course guys....i just feel the 911 is a car you can nail to the ring / round tracks and back without any issues.....i wonder if the same can be done with a lambo ....i did take my murcie to the ring did one lap n got chucked off for noise ....i certainly couldnt drive the murcie like i can the 911 at the ring but there 2 different beasts...anyway whatever you choose enjoy it ;-)... i guess traxx has had more experience than myself with lambos...maybe the dude is right ?!

Nice, but still not a huge fan, but I have to admit it does look a lot better in black. Congrats on your purchase, drive it in good healthbiggrin
