help - V8 vantage!

Guys

I have a 2006 V8 Vantage, but cant seem to find my locking wheel nut!

Where is this usually located in/with the car?

Try under the back shelf behind the passenger seat (otherside of the battery that's where the tool kit is).

I dont appear to have a locking wheel nut (thought it was an extra) or tool kit. Its not the biggest of cars but cant seem to find either or a reference to them in the handbook.

Any more clues?

It was/is an optional extra believe it or not

locking wheel nuts are an extra and rarely fitted,

none here either ....I guess theres not much of a demand for used AM wheels on the black market or at car boot sales

It appears that I dont have locking wheel nuts - as someone has already said, they are an extra!

I would have thought on a £90k car they would be standard......

Only ever heard of one set of Aston wheels being stolen, as they do not fit other cars really not an issue, also the weight difference between a standard wheel nut and a locking wheel nut on a performance car can make a difference to the wheel balance, the weight difference is greater if you have the titanium wheel nuts as used with the DB9 sports pack, out of over 470 Aston's we have on our records we have supplied less than 10 sets of the locking wheel nut kits,

I got a set from the dealer when I bought my car.
I also managed to buy a second set online for £85 at the same time
Rick has a point but when you look at this article and realise the amount of damage it does to the car I'd decided I needed them.

There is not a massive difference compared to standard nuts, plus whatever weight difference there is is close to the center of rotation so has less effect than a tyre valve or missing balancing weights.
I've noticed no such issues on my V8VR pre or post locking nuts

Hmm, buy 5 sets and replace all wheel nuts........
