MOT FOR A CAT-D
Discussion
Hi
Boys runabout has been written off, not his fault so his insurers are not paying, body panel damage - wing and door in the main
insurers have offered him 1000 plus the car for approx 250 and it would be a CAT D OR 1250 cash
He has a couple of days to decide before the hire car goes back and it is a pain in the butt to find a reasonable replacement, having spent a few quid on keeping his well maintained.
Questions: does a CAT D require a new MOT - would his insurance be ok ( ie, not pay extra mid policy for a CAT D ) and any general thoughts
thanks
