My 09 535d has suddenly started to get very twitchy when changing direction at speed. Its previously been one of the most surefooted & precise cars ive ever driven and the handling and pace is unbeleivable for a car of this size and weight. Over the last few weeks it feels unstable when changing direction at speed (around the legal limit) , more noticeable on left hand bends.

Someone has dinged a front wheel, but not badly (the wife swears it wasnt her and i cant remember doing it...)- its not pulling to one side, drives and brakes in a straight line. Its recently had rear tyres, the correct continentals but i dont think the probem coincided with the tyre change.

could a scuffed wheel really have knocked the geometary out that badly that its affected the handling?

any suggestions?

Maybe go and get a 4 wheel laser alignment done - I've just had mine done for around £150.00 which was much less than the BMW KDS version which is basically the same thing.

(and tell your wife to stop lying and apologise!!)
