Focus ST fluctuating turbo

Newbie here - can someone help please??

The turbo on my 07 ST2 is fluctuating like mad as I accelerate, the turbo gauge will go to max then it will drop to nothing and the car is dead. Sometimes the turbo will run normally but not give me the second stage of boost that the ST has in the higher rev range. Then sometimes it even runs as normal - strange I know!! I've been searching the internet but I can't find a solution. Can someone please help me

I am just taking a stab in the dark but I have a mk2 Focus RS and there have been a few reports of colapsing hoses when pushing it. Id give them a quick check over.
