Hey there, just looking for a little bit of information / advice.

I will be flying from Bejing to Pyonyang later this year, the only two airlines that fly there are Air Koryo and Air China. I can't remember who I am going to be flying with (was booked ages ago and don't have the details to hand).

Does anyone know what planes these two airlines use to fly this route? This question has been sparked by the recent Antonov 24 crash in Northern Russia by the way.

So has anyone had any experience on these old solviet era planes? What are they like? Are they really scary? etc etc. I am hoping that I will be flying Air China as they are allowed to fly in the EU and also they seem to fly Boeing 737's.

Also feel free to post pics as they are always interesting. Not of crashes though please thumbup

Only just seen this.
From what I've heard, Air China do fly more modern planes. I used one to fly from Shanghai a while back and it was pretty normal.
Kyoro do still use old Soviet era planes. I was told the best analogy is that it's like flying in the mid 1970s!

Just looked up the details, looks like we are going to be flying Air Koryo. Great.
Should be interesting going on a solviet era plane though.
