I would avoid the North of the island if there is a choice, It tends to be package deal city.

Emirates is alright, not as good as Singapore but then who is? If you are on a 380 it takes a long time to get eveyone on and off but is pretty good once you are on it.

Emirates are up there with the best - don't worry about that.
