bedroom design - Im stuck!

After some opinions really! just moved into a new house, currently the bedroom is abit dated and not my cup of tea, it has fitted pine draws and wardrobes with a vanity desk area thing which is now taken up by my TV which is at the end of my bed. so only really have the wall that my bed sits against, a wall covered mostly by a window and a wall half covered with draws to decorate.

I have one of those brown leather lift up storage beds and thats all I want to stick with and want to keep the fitted furniture but up for painting/white washing as I dont like Pine!

So what kind of colours would you go for? I was thinking creme walls with chocolate curtains, bedding etc but then wasnt sure about the wardrobes? I'm sure there must be some people on here better than me at interior design!
