Can you watch 3D movies if you already wear specs?
Discussion
3D doen't work for me - my right eye's optic nerve is underperforming (I've had words at the annual review but no signs of improvement) so I see virtually eveerythign through my left eye.
With the recent push to 3D (movies and TV) I wonder if I'll get to the point where I can't watch movies anymore ebcause it looks wierd to my poor 2D life?

It definitely seems to depend on what you need the glasses for. In my group of friends, 3 of us wear glasses, I saw the 3D fine when I went, one friend didn't see any 3D effects, and another only saw it in his direct line of sight, the picture was hazy around the periphery.
edited to add, the film we watched was Avatar

I saw Toy Story 3 last weekend and forgot my glasses - although my eyesight is good enough to pass the driving test without wearing glasses (and I can watch normal films at the cinema without them) I found it incredibly uncomfortable to watch a 3D film without them - as my eyes are just slightly out of focus the 3d effect just made this much worse, especially when stuff was moving around fast in the trailers - it became physically painful as this point and I had to keep looking away from the screen.
I saw the re-release of Toy Story 2 in 3d with my glasses on and it was fine, worked really well. The 3d glasses are so large they fit fine over normal glasses.
So if you need glasses at all, don't try and watch a 3d film without them - you'll just end up with a headache.
