With regards blogging in general, I did it to generate a little bit of experience when I first started thinking about writing, then as part of my portfolio when I first looked at getting a job in journalism.

Currently there's no real strategy behind it - it's served its purpose now and I only do the odd bit here and there - although I am vaguely thinking of 're-branding' and developing it into something a little bit more serious.

Hi, I've got a couple of youngsters - one 5yo and the other 2yo. I never had to face that beginning to fatherhood you described but just thinking about what you wrote struck a chord. No new father should have to face such comments.

Anyway, I hope your life took on a better turn. The pic of Daisy is lovely. You're not far from me (Redditch). I've seen RedVictor running at Shakespear - I think earlier this year. I wonder if you were there too.
