My Photoshoot this morning got cancelled weeping So I had to get my photography fix!

The car is a Chesil and owned by my Dad. Shots had to be in the front drive as I'm not insured on it and he isn't around frown

If I get good feedback I'll supply them in wallpaper size smile

Class, like the third photo myself - nice wooden steering wheel and dashboard dials. Just looks right

Why does it have Porsche badges plastered all over it if, as you say, it is a Chesil?

Because the Chesil badge doesn't look right on the car. It's a replica, so you may as well make it as close to the real thing as possible smile

No stranger than people who complain when people plaster Ferrari badges all over an MR2 with a dodgy body kit, really.

The above is a lovely car, but I can see how putting Porsche badges on something that isn't a Porsche would seem odd to some people.

It's a damn sight closer to the original than the Ferrari MR2s though.

I do like these!

..now, for the next shoot do you think we can get hold of Kelly McGillis? Can I be Maverick?

Great shots - I think the bottom one would be a suitable replacement for the 917 that currently adorns my screen!

Unfortunately I don't know Kelly wink

Here are some more photos though biggrin

Some people may not like the idea of replicas, but on the whole I feel they haven't experienced them properly. I wasn't a great fan of the idea of a replica when my dad first got the car, but now that I have driven it I see it differently. The car is very light thanks to its fibreglass body which means that it's incredibly fun to drive. And if you want a reference for what I think is fun to drive, I've driven Caterhams, Ferraris, a Zonda and still think that it is fun to drive, all be it in a different way. I think that the Ferrari replicas (of modern Ferraris, not of the 250 GTO etc) make people think less of replicas which is a shame. The car is a thing of beauty and I for one am happy that Chesil still produce them (although would be grateful if they would get on and sort the roof out as the interior very nearly got soaked earlier when I was taking photos of it!

Thing is, I don't mind replicas in the main.

90% of the fun for 10% of the cost.

A GTE rebodied as a GTO, a Lynx or Suffolk as a Jaguar can carry the badging due to the base.

I think the Chesil is a lovely thing, but slapping faux jewellery on it cheapens it.

True, but it still isn't one. At best it's like putting a Lotus badge on a Caterham. hehe
