It looks like I'm heading back to the 'ring in September,

Only slight problem is that having stayed at burgstube the last two times it's all booked up for the days we're planning on heading over.

Looking at a few sites http://www.hotel-an-der-nordschleife.de/ looks ok, has anyone stayed there? and would you recommend it?

Great news!

Planning on booking it tomorrow so thought it would be worth checking.

Eddie is a keen biker and knows a lot about the track, if you stay in the apartment block you can watch the track from the balconies looking over Breidscheid bridge.

Wandering into Adenau you will pass the Comfy Corner, very nice for some drinks and Jorge will try to get you to drink Eiffel fire and Pinocchio's is great for pizza.

Eiffel fire sounds interesting,

I think it's one of the apartments we're hoping to book so a track view sounds like a plus.

Quite looking forward to staying nearer to Adenau as it sounds like there's a bit more going on than in Nurburg,

Can't wait to get back out there, just got to decide how much I can afford to spend hiring a car now, oh how I wish I could justify RSR's 911 GT3.

We stayed at Eddie's a couple of years back. Worked out perfectly for us. Plenty of space in the apartments for all our spares and crap. Good brekky and close enough to walk into Adenau. Also nice to pop up onto the bridge in the morning to get some photos.

Have to ask, if your have an e30 M3 why on earth would you want to rent anything, you already have an awesome ring car.......mine loves nothing better than 2 days of merciless thrashing at the ring.

A few things put me off taking the E30, mainly the insurance issues and it has over recent years become a bit of a garage queen, always said it wouldn't.

Also need to do quite a few little jobs on it before I want to take it back on track, mainly a gearbox rebuilt as the layshaft bearings are getting noisy.

I did nearly take it there earlier in the year when the big E30 M3 meet was on but decided not to as we booked into a track day at spa which would have been hard on the car, it will make the trip over at some point soon.

As others have said it is very nice and I would highly recommend it. Infact, it will always be the first or second place I check for availability on a trip and I have stayed in 4 or 5 different places now. The rooms I stayed in last year were brand new and you can see the track from a bed too. Another plus is he threw in a garage for free (nice as I had a trailer and a kit car)

Andy, my layshaft has been noisy for about 10 years now.........as far as I can remember, all the guys I track with, theirs are the same, even after a rebuild.

Take your M3 before the killjoys close the ring or clip it's wings, it's the best place for them.

I always stay at Eddies if i can and have rented a garage from him for the summer!

Always freindly and as other said with a nice breakfast, and within walking distance of Adenau.

Unfortunatly the new owners of the ring have installed sound deadening walling all the way across the bridge on both sides which has blocked the view of the track from eddie's now frown

Is this the one near Breidscheid? If so, I have, and it was very nice.

Stay there all the time now... Adenau has so much more going for it after the track closes and the PK is sooooo last decade!

If there are enough of you ask if you can can the big flat then you can chill out on the balcony with your beers.

Not since the new barriers went up in March, they block the view of the track frown

You can still see the track. The barriers only block the bridge part, but you can still easily see the cars coming down the hill into the corner.

Awesome place, I would live there if money was no object! Even the toast has the Nurburgring logo on it!

I think we're there from the 4th until the 8th so we'll try and leave it tidy for you.

Can't wait now.
