Watch for Wife (Anniversary)
Discussion
It's 5 yrs for me too TH. It's about 1200 quid(the tag). I don't have a budget per se just confess to knowing zero about watchs. I normally hang out on the car part. I had to google the watch you referred to...what is a jcl?(enough said-i know nothing about watchs) I know what appeals to melo and at that end of market i just want to know the mechanics are top drawer. That's all im asking. Many thanks for the advice, looks lovely
happy to receive 100 recommendations up to 3k provided the watch mechanism is top end. the bling is just a bonus. Cheers

Well for our 10th she got a Bi-metal Rolex datejust and for the 15th an Omega seamaster Aqua terra with diamond set MOP dial, Rolex was £2200 and the Omega with disco was £1150 now both still going strong and have increased in value so were double happy!! she also has a tag for day to day and it has been reliable but value for money the Omega is my favorite.

The TAG F1 Diamonds has a quartz (battery) movement and therefore not mechanical - In essence you're paying a lot less on the movement, but more for the design and the diamonds.happy to receive 100 recommendations up to 3k provided the watch mechanism is top end. the bling is just a bonus. Cheers
A Jaeger-LeCoultre (JLC - www.jaeger-lecoultre.com) Reverso Ladies would be in budget, however it is still a quartz, but a quartz made by JLC rather than sourced ... Something like this perhaps?

Have a look at the Oris Artelier Date Diamond. A little bigger at 31mm and its an automatic, rather than the usual quartz at the £1000 ish price point. Its available for a good price at www.friendsoforis.com - an australian dealer I have been e-mailing recently as I'm in the same boat as you.
Not quite in the same league as JLC, but still a quality watch and something that she's unlikely to see being worn by anyone else -

I bought one of these for her indoors, has a pink mother of pearl dial - looks quite nice imo. http://www.cartier.com/show-me/timepieces/w51028q3...
