I'm going to be in Vegas on my own for 2 nights (2 full days and a morning) in September. This is the return leg of a trip so I'll already have spent 5 days there doing the gambling/boozing thing. I'm after a few ideas of things to do/see which are a little bit more laid back.

I have a hire Corvette being delivered for one of the days, so am hoping to drive out to the Hoover Dam and take some photos. I also want to do the Sunset Helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon and maybe try some kind of shooting range, but other than that I'm short of ideas...

Any suggestions - either generally or to do in the 'vette?

I'd do a search in this section first, plenty of threads already on this topic.

The usuals:

Gunstore for shooting things
Raceway for driving things

Fantastic scenery, clear roads, close to the city, lots of fun.

Great suggestion, one I can highly recommend too.

Gun range is good fun, plenty of fun cars and bikes to hire inexpensively, loads of sightseeing to do if that sort of thing interests you, if you're a fan of golf the Wynn's course is superb, loads of shows on, there's off road trekking on dirt bikes or quads into the nevada hills which is epic, and tonnes of other stuff.

After a good few days of getting mashed I quite enjoyed just sitting by the pool hehe

There's also the speedway which has stacks of different events on, not sure what's coming soon but I recall there's just about everything from NASCAR to truck racing and figure 8 racing.

Grand Canyon is pretty great, the dam is worth a visit too just to take in the sheer size of it. But I think after 5 days of the full vegas experience it'd probably be a bit more of a trek than you might be arsed with

I've a feeling I may be coming on here with a similar photo (although I think I've got a convertable booked). Looks awesome!

if you cant find something to do in Vegas other than gambling you are either:

a. a gambling addict.
b. dead.
