Thought this might be of interest to some PHers. The Citizen M hotel chain are launching their first UK location in Glasgow this month. During staff training, they are offering free one-night stays in return for a bit of customer feedback.

It’s nothing to do with me, just passing on what might be a handy freebie. In fact, we pitched for doing the interior design but didn’t get the project.

A couple of my workmates just got their confirmations through, so the system’s working.

Still not got my confirmation booking, checked with my Credit card, and they have accessed my account. Have sent them an E-mail, awaiting their reply

Looks like they are having a little trouble with not everyone getting confirmation emails. You should still have a booking though.

If you use Twitter at all, their representative on there is answering queries pretty quickly.

Got an e-mail back saying they had no record of the booking, then an hour or so later got another e-mail to say they had found it.

Not the best of starts, but then it is a trial run. Hopefully the stay is a bit better

In fairness, they apparently took 400 bookings in four hours. Trial by fire for their booking systems!

Yeh i was there with the Mrs.

It's central to the town, the nightly rates are good. The rooms are compact, but very bright, modern and trendy. Everything you need for a short stay. although i don't think you get Tea or Coffee in the rooms, certainly not when i was there anyway.

Films in the room are free, with quite a few well known titles along with some which are XXX

The toilet/shower cubicle is cool, it's done in opaque glass with gloss white trim. Your mood pad can be used to change the colour of the cubical to any colour you want, effectively changing the colour of the whole room.

I quite liked it, but then it was free.
