Ran up my first 1k miles yesterday, still with a smile like a cheshire cat.First 200 miles were a bit worrying about braking down ,but everthing 0k.Just one problem which now sorted was the door catch loose which gave me a few problems getting in the car. Can't wait for the next 1k.

Count yourself lucky - I've not even covered my first 500 miles and already spent £4,700

Majority of the costs on full service incl. valve adjustment, new clutch, slave and master cylinder, new pads and discs and new sports exhaust

Not all expected - but then I did buy the car privately for an absolute steal and it hadn't seen a garage (or much road for that matter) for the last 2.5 years!!

I guess I got the car for about £5-6k less than I would have at a dealer - so add £750 for a 3 yr warranty to my spend to date and I still think I've got a great deal.

Only time will tell!

Hmmm...

Cost per mile, good question, mine may not seem as bad as some going by that account!

£3,600 for 4,500 miles, not including petrol/depreciation.

(Ok, that's pretty bad )

Hmm indeed, scary when put like that.

My first Cerbera cost me £4k for the first 1000 miles.
Admittedly, over half that was before I got to even drive it. (see old posts)

After it was sorted, it cost me £600 over six months including a service, happy with that.

In stark contrast, the new one has done 1500 miles since I got it and has cost me...errr £0!

Thanks James
