Flying the wedge flag on the Beaujolais Run
Discussion
Just had some excellent news, out of hundreds of applicants we have been fortunate to be one of the few selected to compete in this years Beaujolais Charity Run supporting Headway and The Robert Burns Foundation. It is in November so prep work will start soon but just for the Rusty Nail boys team 'Flying Scotmen' will be proudly flying the Saltaire as we compete against the likes of Porches and Ferrari’s in navigation and time trails. Commencing at an undisclosed location in the UK it starts with a run into France to collect this years Beaujolais Nouveau with events along the stages. Driver, me of course, Nag-igator
Katie, it is a fun event but with a serious undertone and two worthy causes that are particularly close to my heart. It is all very preliminary at the moment but any support would be greatly appreciated, every penny raised goes to the charites, all expenses will be paid for by ourselves. The car will sport the sponsoring companies logo's, I hope to have this done in time for the Rusty as local media will be invited to cover this and to raise the profile of the run. I will also be starting a blog so friends/family and colleages can track the build up and the event.
Although a long way off we have a mixture of excitment and nervousness at the moment, excitment at having a wedge in such a high profile event and nervousness about making it through the event.
Anyhow thought I'd let the wedgers know and will update details next week.
Have a great weekend
Hamish & Katie

Nice one Hamish, glad to see you flying the flag for us boy's up here, i know you'll do your best for the TVR wedge boy's they are only Porsche and Ferrari's. We'll talk at the Nail Run to see if we can help out.
cheers john.
Thanks john, somehow I thought Team Flying Scotsmen would appeal to the rusty boys, talking of which we may get some media coverage for the RNRII, met someone last night who is looking at putting some wheels in motion. cheers john.
Cheers
Hamish
