Another what car, cheap/reliable/quick(ish)

I have an e39 528 (2000) that i may get rid of for something different. Budget is say 3-5k.
Ideally it should be something
-chuckable through the twisty stuff, LSD would be a massive plus point
-maybe with room to get a mountain bike in the back (not essential though)
-capable of giving decent mpg at motorway speed (ideally with cruise control)
-leather/recaros a bonus
-has to be reasonably reliable (to me that usually means jap/german)
-no higher than grp 18 insurance

I had a look around but absolutely nothing comes to mind that jumps out at me, to give you an idea my previous car was a dc2 integra type r.
Is there a filter of some that allows you to search by power/torque in the classifieds? the German online sites I used when over there would allow you to set a range of power to filter by but I can't see a Uk site that allows something similar
