Somewhere you can stop at night on the A31, get the long shutter sorted out, then a tripod, then turn the lights off on your car, position correctly, hit the button, and observe the beautiful light-swishes of cars going past, juxtaposing your darkened vehicle. smile

There are loads of good photo opportunities along the banks of the Itchen river.

Sadlerj, would you be able to post a link like DC has for specific location please.

DC, liking the look of peninsula square, can you just drive in there and park up?

As Luke said, it is the same place. You can just drive in there. It is private but open to the public so my only suggestion would be to keep it low key so you don't piss any residents off.

Brilliant cheers, will be a few of us, will try to make it look innocent, won't be there long I don't expect.

Northington Grange?

It is a big, old, empty stately home with the pillars and everything, you can drive right up to it and wander round, they use it for showing opera and stuff now I think.

About 10 mins from central Winchester and some good roads on the way.

Where is that - on the old Kingsworthy to Basingstoke road?

What shifts you on next few weeks?

It's just outside ALresford, excellent pub nearby too called The Woolpack which I think is owned by the Heinekin family. I'm off Monday to Thursday, fancy going for a pint out there buddy?
