just seen the weather and its suposed to be raining all over europe while im away gutted whats wrong with having abit of sun to tear up a mountain road.
Leave your "Man Pass" at the door on your way out!
Waht sort of man in possession of an M doesn't enjoy some rain?

I know how you feel......I'm taking mine on a 'European Odyssey' tomorrow. Starting at the Ace Café meet tomorrow night.....then over to Stuttgart (BMW HQ).....then on to the Nurburgring.....then Spa.....then finally Le Mans......Can't wait!
I think you will find only Porkers in Stuttgart, might want to try Munich instead

Might see you out there! I'm off in mine (E36 M3 Evo) on Saturday for two weeks - France (Route Napoleon, South Coast), Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Germany (via the 'Ring).
Rather looking forward to it!
Would love to do a Euro tour like this! Out of interest, how much are you budgeting for fuel?Rather looking forward to it!

I have had my E46 M3 for just over 3 moths now and think I will never 'go back'. My pevious obsession was Japanese metal, but I am now smitten with the way the M looks, drves and just feels.
Been away for a couple of weeks on hols and then haven't had a chance to go for a real drive until last night. Went out for 5 minutes and came back an hour later to strains of "I was getting worried" from SWMBO. Must have the optional microwave fitted -0 the hour really did only feel like 5 minutes of solid fun.

I've had mine for a few days now after replacing my Z4.
Pros
That engine.
No rattles.
4 seats.
That engine.
Cons
Feels like driving a van (so high up compared to Z)
SMG (still unsure)
Steering wheel (how thick?)
Steering Rack (how slow?)
I'm always overly critical of new cars, I'm sure I'll grow to love it.

the car really impressed me.did 2600 miles in 2 weeks and she never missed a beat mostly motorway driving not good but managed to drive the simplon pass in.loved it nailed it all the way down had a grin from ear to ear dont think my lass liked it to much all her photos came out blury.what a buzz tho.
Absolutely fantastic car....
It never fails to bring a smile to my face and even now I get suprised to look down at the speedo to see triple digits when you expect it to be alot less. Such a good looking car too, in my opinion. Ive never run out of room either as you really can get 4 big blokes in with luggage. BMW really did build something great

and I couldn't recommend doing it more.M3 was probably as close to the perfect car I've ever owned to do all that in - docile around town, easy to drive/park, comfortable on thhe motorway, but quick and sweet-handling when required. Didn't miss a beat either in the c.2500 miles we did.
As for fuel costs, I reckoned on somewhere in the region of £500 - averaged 29mpg.
