Great day today first time driving on a track for me and most enjoyable.

Gary, hope its nothing terminal with the car? Didnt manage to catch you to say hello, think i got a few pictures of you on the track earlyer in the session.

Was that aimed at me? I think so.

Unfortunately, it was as terminal as it gets, a piston successfully made a bid for freedom (it was found on the track!!!!) I can fit my fist in the side of the block

I was obviously embarassed that my car (i wasn't driving it at the time) caused a red flag whilst they recovered it and cleared up the oil.

It has made this weekend a bit difficult (i was taking that car to MIRA for a sprint) but thankfully the organisers have allowed me to substitute one of my mazda's in. I need to get that prepped now

Ouch sorry to hear that fella, it was flying round earlier in the day too.

I think that every track car should have a knitted monkey hanging on to a rear window!
