Bargain Barge gets a makeover (Jaguar XJ40)
Discussion
I thought I'd see what reaction I'd get to my current daily driver. Bought it in Feb whilst still at uni and missing driving from the PH classifieds after a <10 miles <£500 search. It had no MOT and was up for £200 and was just a short train and bus ride away from Cardiff in Newport. I knew practically nothing about them but i thought i may as well have a look (Having bought all 3 of the cars I'd ever been to look at previously). When i arrived it was looking quite sorry for itself but seemed solid enough and mechanically decent. And besides I'd already decided i needed it so I handed over the cash and drove back to Cardiff which resulted in me being called an idiot by my then girlfriend.
I'd arranged an MOT with a very ropey looking garage because it was opposite my flat and I'm lazy, thankfully they were great guys and £140 some welding and a new wiper blade later it was MOTed. It has needed nothing other than some power steering fluid since then. It's a 4.0 Sovereign with all the toys and drives so smooth it's unreal, with a decent amount of power too although usin it means rather frequent visits to the pertrol-station
Now I've finished uni and without a job I got slightly bored, so a trip to homebase to fetch a tin of blackboard paint, some red insulation tape and some microfibre rollers resulted in this:

Not sure if I'll keep it 2-tone or go completely stealth yet. Thoughts?
