Hi everyone
I am looking to buy a Tuscan S, and have looked at all the forums and sites and still gaining all the info etc, however one very small and minor point. I have noticeed some S cars have an aerial on the boot and some dont. What is the issue here, I not keen on the boot mounted aerial, is this just something that has been an add on at purchase.
TIA

The S came with a DAB radio as standard and some had the little bee-sting aerials fitted on the boot lid. Not sure when/why they were fitted as my car is an S with the DAB radio but it doesn't have the bootlid aerial....go figure. smile

My S doesn't have it either. But I remember reading somewhere that in the cars without the boot bee-sting, the aerial is somewhere near the front lights..

On some Tuscans (especially earlier ones) the aerial was integrated into one of the front wings, whereas others had a 'bee sting' on the boot lid. I'm not sure what drove TVR to make the change, but the boot lid is definitely a better location for reception quality (less interference from ignition, alternator etc). Still, even there reception can be massively improved by replacing the standard aerial. The number of stations picked up by my head unit doubled after Carl Baker replaced my bee sting with a new one!
