Seriously considering on a Royal Oak Rubber Clad, would love the rose gold but out of my budget . Anyhow has anyone owned one of these watches, whats peoples opinions. Looking to buy second hand.
I have a couple (including a rubber clad) and can not recommend them highly enough; Really well built and a lot of passion in them. Very comfortable to wear (although some can be very big on the wrist!). They also use their own movements rather than a cheap generic one (Ala Hublot etc)...I have a Royal Oak and it is lovely. I'd love to upgrade it to an offshore but they are very different watches.
I bought mine in Boston from these guys: http://www.europeanwatch.com/
Great people to deal with.

Heres my Safari (apols for the poor quality photo)
Hunt around and you should get yourself a nice discount.
Very solid watch and the size and depth really take a bit of getting used to.
One thing with all the offshores, is the bezels can get knocked and marked very easily. The rubber can scuff and chip. But on saying that, they do feel bombproof.

AP has a notoriously small AD network, hence you don't see them in many large generic "jewellery" stores.
This lack of network, along with a limited production and supply, helps keep the demand high, hence healthy residuals.
As long as you buy sensibly in the first case, you should see approx. 75% residual in 3-4 years.

They are quite strong simply because AP raise the list price on new AP's every eight months or so which help's with good quality used pieces.
Noticed that after 12/ 18months once the initial drop they seem to hold out very well, similar to Panerai.Fortunately they don't make as many models.Gassing Station | Watches | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
