Did anyone see the WW2 plane flying low over Graffham (South Downs between Midhurst and Petworth) this afternoon- looked fantastic- circled low over the village and headed off North West. I think it was a Dakota but can't be sure, twin engined, deep throbbing sound and looked in great shape!

Anyone shed some light?

Battle of Britain Memorial Flight one was due at Damyns Hall, Upminster today but went tech. Don't know whether they got it flying again today.

There are a couple of privately owned ones so could well be one fo those up and about.

Saw a Dakota over South Lincs today, probably the same one as you saw. Looked silver to me, last time I saw the BBMF one up close it was painted in cammo.

Another sighting here at around 5pm(ish). Just south of Gatwick and it appeared to the south of me. I would suggest over Haywards Heath area.

Looked like an olive drab colour from the distance I was at.
