Just spent best part of the day trying to get the Mojo running. I can get good fuel pressure, spark, etc.
I suspected duff fuel as it's been sitting for a very long time. So deftly drained the tank and lines to carbs and replaced with fresh U/L and tetra boost. Got it running for about a minute at 2-3000 then it slowly died off despite all efforts to moderate the revs on the throttle, I SUSPECT that the carbs may be "bunged up" to say the least.

Now without having the readies to throw at someone else, is their an "easy" way to give them a clean through?

Please note that the "new" fuel is noticeably less cloudy that the crud before, I have a new set of webber anti vibe "donuts" (sorry forgotten proper name) and fasteners waiting and I am not afraid of yanking them off.
I just don't want to "adjust" anything as they ran fine on the previous settings.

Any advice guys, OH can you "drain" the float chambers in any way?

thanks for your time

Mo.

I take it these carbs have run before and then stood for a while before you now trying to run them again.
If so then they are most likely gummed up by the old fuel evaporating and leaving a deposit. Now you have fuel in them again it may release the deposits and next time you try to start it in a few days it may run.
Alternatively the carbs will need to be stripped down and cleaned with Carb Cleaner.

Yep just took the filters off to clean and there was a fair amount of oily deposit all over the trumpets. Hopefully a good spraying of carb cleaner should help, but knowing my luck these last few months probably NOT frown

thanks anyway
