Amazing how side tracked you get whilst looking at something different, was reading up about Titanic and ended up looking at round the world cruises on the QM2.

Anyway, a 108 day round the world cruise on the top suite without options is an eye watering £38,000

This is what you get:

Amenities include:
Priority embarkation with separate Grill check-in
Full bottle of French champagne with sugar-iced strawberries at embarkation
Complimentary in-suite bar set up
Fruit basket & bottled water replenished daily or as needed
Full flower arrangement
Personalised Cunard stationery
In-room Xbox
Single-seating dining in the Queens Grill, or En Suite from the Queens Grill menu
24-hour room service & Grills Concierge services
Butler service (including packing/unpacking service)
Access to Grills Concierge Lounge, Queens Grill Lounge and private Queens Grill sun Deck
Daily abridged newspaper
Shoe shine service
Evening canapés
Frette Linens & duvet
Pillow Concierge offering nine pillow options
Nightly turndown service with pillow chocolates plus special Sweet Dreams turndown surprise on formal nights
Terry cloth bathrobe & slippers
Fine Canyon Ranch soaps & shampoos
Bath salts & manicure kit
Priority disembarkation and tender service (Q1 - Q4 only)
2In-room DVD Player (Q1 - Q4 only)

It seems you dont get one unless you pay the top whack hehe

Canyon Ranch products review:

"The only tangible transformation you will notice by using any of these Canyon Ranch products is the transfer of currency from your bank account to Canyon Ranch’s till. "

Frette linens are quality, but they went bust last year and are now owned by a holding company...

Xbox? Really? How tacky.

That doesn't seem SUCH a bad price to me for 108 days around the world cruise on the QE2.

Yup, know what you mean. I printed off the RoW brochure and used up most of the ink in my printer. Love looking at the iteneraries and prices. There was one at an eye watering £121k. Must have been a fancy suite or such like.

Ah well dream on and when I retire, might be tempted....

cheers

You might get a bit bored by the view though.

It works out at £350 a day, not bad for a floating 5* hotel with food included.

No problem there, satellite internet is available worldwide, cruise lines charge about 60p a minute.

The top suite is considerably more than that.

The price indicated will be for an entry level Queens Grill stateroom.

If the Q1 is what you're looking for, 2000sqft+ you're going to need at least £120k per person.
