recommend me a body shop in southampton...

please could someone recommend me adecent body work in southampton? i have some peeling lacquer on the E21 and wanted to see how much it would cost to get sorted. i have no idea whether the whole panel will need peeling back and respraying, or whether they can just seal over it... so no clue as to what to expect really.

there is a body shop just next to work here in northam so popping in there over lunch to get a quote, no idea what they are like though and would like some PH suggestions

There is a small unit in Otterbourne and i know the guys there are fastidious and particular.
Unfortunately i dont know the name. Try the yellow pages or google to find them.
One of the guys who works there has a sierra saph cosworth.

Not Southampton directly but in Winchester.

Contrary to some advice about going to main dealers, Scotthall BMW has a very good paint and Body shop. They did some work on my mini and it was excellent and the price was also reasonable. In addition you get the warranty with the work.

thanks for the recommendations guys. the garage in otterbourne, not with the petrol station by it is it? if so...they are rather over-priced in my experience (well, someone elses actually)

i got a quote for £200 as it does need to be peeled back and resprayed, and that's for the top half of the passenger door and rear quarter (bottom half ok as there is a piece of trim running the lenth, so no need to do below there).

i thought that was a good price. a mate of mine had his focus ST done there and seemed quite good quality.

might be worth me popping in to scotthall and seeing what they say, would be nice knowing for sure it's been done very well.

Nip over the Itchen Bridge to Woolston, along Portsmouth Road, at the bottom of Wrights Hill, opposite the pub, round the back of the petrol station there is a body shop, cant remember the blokes name but his work is spot on. He did some for me and has been reccomended on here before.
