I love my M5 (e39)

Afternoon all
Despite Jersey having a 40mph speed limit, down to a piddling 15mph in places, you can still have fun. Unless you were the silver haired chap posing in his Aston Martin V8 Vantage that is...
Exiting a 30 zone up a nice winding hill road, he decides to plant the throttle. Very obviously since I can hear the exhaust roar over my engine noise.
Just imagine how annoying it must then be to look in your mirror and see the same black BMW sitting exactly the same distance away from your bumper all the way up the hill at almost legal speeds. hehehe
My 2.5 year old car-mad son was shouting "you are too slow" at him for most of the way, too. Mind you, SWMBO wasn't amused.
Awesome machine. But the Aston did look nice.
That is all.

Seriously, where the hell are you able to drive fast on Jersey.
I've driven a lot of Jersey, I'm out there 3 times a year, the roads are ridiculously narrow and full of blind bends.
Even with my brother's g/friends toyota yaris (half the size of an E39) I struggle to see over 50 leptons apart from the 5mile obviously, and this isn't down to power, it's due to visibility and the ability to stop.
I have an E39 myself (not an M5), I just can't bring myself to take it to Jersey, it's too big for the island imho.
