Hi,

A colleague has just received an NIP for 36 in a 30 today.

Do TVP do the driving course alternative anymore, I think they were trialing it at the beginning of the year...

If not, then a certain foreign colleague who arrived on a ferry may have been driving it on that day... - On that point, what is the best tack on these things nowadays?

Cheers,

Joe.

They only offer them for up to 34 MPH or something... which is odd because if someone is doing 65 in a 30 or even 45 or 40 in a "well placed" 30, shouldnt they go on a speed awareness course?:s

Gatso...

And where it is, 36 and 30 really don't make much difference....

Why ever not TC?

Suppose the "limit" was was of these newly lowered "politically motivated" drops?

Suppose it was previously NSL?

I dont see the problem. Unless that is because its "technically" illegal but not "technically" dangerous to be doing that speed.

Common sense required, not "speed awareness" courses.........

It was a 40 until last year, then lowered to a 30...

Also it was at 5:30 in the morning...

I think from his earlier posts that Tonyrec meant that he would not support being done for 36 in a 30, not that he frowned on such an excessive speed.

Seem to recall reading in the paper a bit back now -that the actor, Kenneth Branagh, and one or tow other celebs had been invited to the TVP course. It was reported as being a hazard awareness DVD/CD-ROM game! (Probably the similar to the one our TC posted a discussion thread on the other week!)

Think the paper said the actor had been done for the sin of driving at 35mph in a 30mph zone - which appears to be the standard cut-off for these courses as offered!

May be worth looking at the Scammer's web site for more info!
