Stafford is Looming Large on the horizon.....
Discussion
Went to Stafford once - I guess around 10 years ago when it was held in March - it used to be the first show of the season. It was OK, no comparison to Stoneleigh, but was woth the visit as, at the time, I lived about an hour away.
The show was relaunched a couple of years ago by Kit Car magazine and has apparently been successful with good support from the manufacturers, but I don't have any personal experience of the new set up.
I would be reluctant to go to this show unless I was passing as I now live near Reading and it would be quite a trek for me. I went to the Donnington show in 2007 (after having been and enjoyed this show previously in the mid 90's) and was very disappointed because I had driven for approximnately 2 hours to get there and saw everything I wanted to see in about 30 minutes!!
Your profile says you're in the North West, so Stafford might be worth your while, especially if you're looking for something for your car.

Yes, I'm about an hour from Stafford and i know a few from the club are going including a friend who lives only 20 mins away so i might pop down with him. There are a few bits i would like to do on the car so it might be worth a trip, better than doing nothing all day and if it is only a few hours, i'm sure we could take a long detour home.
I'll be going on the Sunday, preceded by a trip to the http://www.midlandsbreakfastclub.co.uk/ for a bacon sarnie :-)
Hope to catch up with you this time slomax!
Stafford is a pretty small affair compared with Stoneleigh, but worth an hours drive for a bit of socialising!

I have been for the last couple of years. As mentioned above, it is a good excuse for a run out if the weathers good, but I think I would have been disappointed if I had needed to pay to get in. Kit car drivers get in free.
Last year it was a very small affair with few manufacturers and trade stands.

Report and valuation will dictate that but I've got a bit of a hankering for a fury anyway. Don't wanna hijack the thread ... Will hopefully come to this just dunno what in!
Doubt we'll see anything we haven't already seen this year but it's nice to get out to these and meet likeminded people

Stafford Kit car show is approaching and just wondered who's going?
I have never been before and wondered if it is worth going to? There doesn't seem to be much info available on the net so for Stafford veterans, please enlighten me!
Many thanks
not a great show to be honest but if the weather is ok and if you have a kitcar its worth a look. Very small show last year with a half empty halls.I have never been before and wondered if it is worth going to? stig, will the tR1ke and the eco-exo be there? it was packed at Stoneliegh and i didn't get a chance to have a proper nosey.
Sorry for the late reply, I have only just spotted your q. Glad to say we will be taking the tR1ke and the Atomic, two Rockets, a Sonic7 and an Exocet. Not sure if we can get Eco-Exo there yet. Think it's in this months CKC as we did a track day and Adam came along. Come and say hi at the weekend, regards StiggyGassing Station | Kit Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
