cossy 24v and MT75 (2wd) box - what clutch?
Discussion
Hi
I have a TVR S2 which I'm installing a cossy 24v motor
I have a hybrid MT75 box to fit (with 2.8 flywheel)
The original TVR Type9 hd a hydraulic clutch
I don't know which slave cylinder will work with this set up
any ideas (and of course I will be needing the slave if anyone has one)
as when I received the TVR there was no engine/box

Standard Ford bits are ok unless you're planning to fit a supercharger, nitrous oxide or turbos. Have a chat with the guys at Rally Design and/or Burtons about uprated clutch parts. The MT75 is a strong a capable unit that will easilly take the 200 or so bhp from the Cosworth headed Cologne V6. This months Practical Perfromance Car magazine features a Austin A40 with the same engine conversion. I used an uprated AP clutch plate on my Supercharged XR4x4 Cosworth and I never had any issues with it.
Sounds like a nice conversion for the TVR. I've seen a Cosworth V6 Tasmin in a lock up but never on the road.
