Hello fellow Griffers!

After almost a year without my beloved Griff I've finally succumbed to my addiction and bought another one.

Now I feel I can return to the Griff forum and not be an imposter

All together now: My name is XXXX and I'm a Griffaholic! It has been nearly 12 months since I last Griffed! etc etc.

The girlie has recently bought a Tamora. It shifts, it grips, it nips and tucks.

But it doesn't SOUND like the Griff. And it leaks more

Hey Darren. Yes, resisted the lure of the Ferrari.

When you get the chance to see this one you'll find it hard to distinguish it from the old one

Only difference is it has a few engine mods (cam,lifters, pushrods etc).

Oh and a sleeved exhaust for extra roar

Ah, saw that one advertised and tried to convince a friend he wanted it. Very nice! You'll be back terrorising the boxster salesmen again then. Glad to see you're back in a TVR (and I'll feel less guilty about taking the old one away from your daughter now!).

It sure does. Front door seals on the Tamora are not perfect and let water in around the wing mirror. The water then gets in the pedal box (driver side obviously) and can stuff the brake light switch.

At least in the Griff I used to see just a bit of water passenger side if the top seal was poorly aligned.

So much for progress eh.

And.....under the bonnet it seems to be 1.4 litres short and missing a couple of cylinders

Sniping aside, it is a fantastic car, completely different to the Rover V8 and fantastic in its own way.

Adam - to give you a clue, I bought Angus's old car (Rosso Pearl) and the new one is almost identical. See any recently sold Rosso Pearls in the classifieds??

Wonder if it was on a "J" plate with a roll bar and new rear dampers, If so I think it is Bordeaux red not rosso. Looked at just after Christmas, drove very well.

I stand corrected. I could be wrong about the car too, I'm just speculating. Presumably the proud new owner will be back to confirm!

Indeed he will!

It is bordeaux not rosso (thank b'jeesus - matching rosso paints is a nightmare, particularly the older ones that tend to fade quite a bit).

The rollbar is a real plus for me. I sold my last one and one part of my rationale was driver safety. Selling it was probably the wrong thing to do (well from my side it was, from Darren's it was probably right up his street!). Finding one with a good rollbar is just perfect.

It has had a fair bit of engine work and that means it has a genuine quoted level of torque and BHP. So that means I can concentrate on the cosmetics rather than the mechanics.

Man, it's great to be back home in this forum!
