BIG DIFFERENCE 4.0 PRE-CAT / 5.0 HC

Is there a very noticable difference between a pre-cat 4.0 and the 500HC..???
Having now owned two 4.0 pre-cats and never driven a 500, is there such a noticable difference even with the 500's having cats on them, as next year i will be in a position to buy an 'LE', but is it worth another 10k on top of my 4.0?????
PS, If any 500 owner in the Lancs area would be willing to let me have a little try in there 500, i would be very much appreciated, and be willing to pay upto £5 towards fuel costs !!!!....

The upgrades would consist of a megasquirt2 fully mapped fuel and ignition system £1000, triple throttle carbon fibre plenum intake £1650, new performance cam £395, rework your heads £300, match your inlet manifold ports £50, new head bolts and gaskets etc.. £90, map the ecu £265 and labour to do all the work £750.
