griffs are now fastest!

gents - following my defection to the world of RV8 power just thought you would like to know that my newly sorted griff won the TVRCC sprint at hethel last weekend on its first outing.

Come on you would be cerb sprinters - come and have a go and beat a griff - ducks and runs for cover.

fubes - I saw your post on the chat group but have never completed a full sprint at goodwood - always crashed i am afraid so cant be much help to you on that one.

PS - Congratulations, it'll be interesting to see how your times in the Griff compare to when you had the Cerb.

I took the Hethel lap record with the Griff on Sunday (2 seconds faster than my cerbs best time there) only for Pauls T350 4.3 litre and 430 BHP to take it form me later in the day.

I think my griff has better sorted brakes, suspension etc and handles better, it is also lighter but it lacks the outright grunt of a cerb. I keep running out of revs!

The griff will be faster I think on the twisty tracks where you cant use the outright power of a cerb and the griffs torque will be useful, but on the power tracks like goodwood, croft, castle coombe, the cerbs will get into their rev band and just vanish. I love the griff but I really miss the cerbs awesome screaming power from 5000 to 7500 rpm when it just goes manic.

Not THE ajp Griff as in tge factory developed car, but Clive Fords converted RV8 to ajp powered car ....... still for sale i believe and not at a too unrealistic price considering the outstanding work thats gone into it .

Griff's were always the fastest, just not RV8 one - Real ones
