Contact the guys @ BMW Car Magazine,
There have been various guides in there over the years, and more recently, one of their new ''Ultimate Guides'' which go into as much details as you're likely to be able to digest/remember when viewing a car...
I think the mag' is published by Unity Media and I would be surprised if you couldn't get hold of the back issues relatively easily...
If that fails pm me and I'll try to dig them out and lend them to you?

ps, you could find a reputable indy specialist come with you to see the cars?
