Well, you pay over the odds for shoddy worksmanship done by a 16 year old trainee. On the most part.
My last dealings with a dealership turned a weeping cam cover gasket in to two engine rebuilds, and an engine with less than 22k on the clock that was drinking oil like an old Morris Marina.

Have you ever bought a car from a main dealer or had service work done?!!?? If you had, you would realise that laziness, incompetnecies and money grabbing are only a few of their best features...I was just wondering what seems to be the problem with them.

I have sent my tintops to a main dealer twice for some work to be done, both times they managed to cock things up...
My recent experience of a certain BMW main dealer to fix re-occurring warped discs has put me right off them... Car went back a good half dozen times for fault to still occur again. Fixed it myself in the end. It seems you pay top money for poor service & total lack of communication.
It's done me a favor as I now do most of the servicing on my cars and bike myself on my driveway at home!
